Mr. Devore brings over 20 years of Professional Fundraising and Non-Profit Management experience to Headquarters, Inc. After graduating from Baker University, Steve worked at 3 major Universities including the Kansas State University Foundation and the Kansas University Endowment Association. He served as the Chief Development Officer for Rose Brooks Center and served 6 years as President of the Gardner Area Chamber of Commerce. Steve has strong experience in working to clearly define the core mission of an organization, identify and involve key strategic partners, build consensus towards advancing its mission, and further strengthening the position of an organization to benefit and serve a much larger community.

I greatly appreciate that the Board of Directors has confidence in my abilities to accept the responsibility of leading this outstanding organization in such a crucial period in our society,” said Devore. “I am very excited to work alongside the highly dedicated staff and volunteers that provide such a vital service to our local community, region and the entire state of Kansas.”
Mr. Devore has enjoyed living in Lawrence and Douglas County for the past 13 years. He treasures the time spent with his two sons in the beauty of the great outdoors, inside the Rodeo Arena, on the athletic field, or simply relaxing on their family farm.
The public is invited to meet Mr. Devore, the staff, and volunteers of the crisis center and Kansas Suicide Prevention Resource Center this Friday, January 25, 2018 from 5-8pm at the Headquarters 50th Anniversary Open House. The open house also officially kicks off Headquarters Counseling Center’s 50th anniversary year.
