March is Kansas AG Month

Agriculture, Farmers and Ranchers specifically, remain the group with one of the highest rates of suicide. If you know anyone in the in the AG community, learn the warning signs of suicide. If you’re concerned that someone you know may be considering suicide, use this guide to talk to them.

Of course, if you need any help or you or someone you know is in crisis, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. As your local Lifeline Crisis Center, your call will come to Headquarters first. If for any reason we are unable to answer, your call will “roll” to another crisis center.

2019 Annual Report

Perhaps you heard, but this year we turned 50! Sometimes called a golden anniversary, it was indeed an incredible year. For half a century, we have been saving lives; and for half a century, you all have made that possible. Your continued offerings of time, energy, and financial support have provided all of Kansas with compassionate and knowledgeable help and support for five decades, and we’re ready for the next five. Statement on the death of Eric Harkness

LAWRENCE, KS (JULY 16, 2019) –  We recently learned of the death of Eric Harkness, president of the Kansas Mental Health Coalition, and the NAMI Kansas Board. Eric was a passionate mental health advocate and will be greatly missed. His voice as a consumer advocate and his conviction to provide comprehensive mental health services to all Kansans were such important strengths that he brought to the daily work of advocacy in Kansas.
